Back for the Holidays!

The holidays are here, which means I've left the comforts Santa Cruz and headed back across the Atlantic for the Christmas block of racing in Holland and Belgium. This trip isn't new to me as this will be my fifth consecutive year over here for this particular block of racing. The crew and I arrived yesterday and headed to USA Cycling's compound in Sittard, Netherlands to start getting bikes and legs dialed for the next two weeks of racing.

We'll be racing the following:

12/20 Namur World Cup - This is quite possibly the hardest race I've ever done and will do on this trip. Lots of climbing, relentless mud, rock, roots, and off cambers. There are one or two big run ups and a couple huge drops where I'm always thankful I have disc brakes.

12/26 Zolder World Cup - Another ass kicker of a race. Starts and finishes on an old F1 racetrack which is super cool.  A couple big rutted out muddy sandy shoots and some flowy wooded sections.

12/27 Diegem SuperPrestige - The most epic urban cross race ever. This course has an upper and lower half connected by small alleys that rip through the city....Ooh yea, its also a night race.

12/29 bPost Bank Trofee Azencross Loenhout - Good ol fashioned Belgian field riding. Lost of flat mud with some ditches you should avoid crashing into while racing. Zero Recovery. Lots of fun.

So that's pretty much the schedule. I'll be sure to post some more photos and updates as we pre ride and get racing!
